New Reggaeton version of Aleluya to honor the late Leonard Cohen

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Buga, Colombia March 27, 2017

If you’re a fan of the late Leonard Cohen or have ever been inspired by his song “Hallelujah”, then get ready for a new inspiring interpretation by Colombian Reggaeton artist Angel Salazar. This new version is targeted for the Latin youth, but the music video will have English subtitles in recognition of Leonard Cohen’s global fan base. Angel Salazar’s version has caught the attention of Grammy nominated music producer Chris Rodriguez, a.k.a. C-Rod, in Miami, Florida, U. S. A. "The youth will be inspired by this new Reggaeton version of Aleluya in honor of the late Leonard Cohen”, states William Steiner director of Colombia Entertainment Group and business manager for artist Angel Salazar.

You can see the recent video trailer for Aleluya here the video has received over 11,000 Facebook views in its first 10 days.

What inspired Angel Salazar to take the big step? It was the audience reactions during three performances held in October and December of 2016, and in January, 2017. These performances were held at the most famous historical church in Colombia, the Basilica El Señor los de Milagros, in Angel’s home town of Buga. The Basilica attracts thousands of people to their spiritual events on the 14th of each month. Each event was presented via live stream by Telepacífico, a Cali Colombia television station.

Now the project has been taken to Kickstarter, a platform that allows people to financially support a variety of creative projects. These projects offer rewards in return for the different levels of support needed to raise funds to complete an individual project. It makes for lots of fun for those who choose to collaborate with the artists. Most often the rewards include early releases of the music or video. Limited edition autographed items are also part of the exciting rewards offered to motivate pledges. Maybe you’d like the artist to sing “Happy Birthday” via Facebook for a family member or friend?

You can support this Kickstarter project right here, which has 8 more days of fundraising left to go.
